Thats it!  Thats most likely your problem!

You're definitely limited by video RAM.  Try adding a line that says:

  VideoRAM 8192

to the "Device" section so it looks like:


Section "Device"
    Identifier  "My Video Card"
    Driver      "mga"
    VideoRam    8192
    # Insert Clocks lines here if appropriate  ## I'm pretty sure it
isn't
EndSection

And you should be fine.
