Thanks, but I want to find out about people's experiences using an iPod
with Linux -- not running Linux on an iPod. 

Also, I am familiar with Google and Freshmeat, so I've already looked at
most of the projects related to iPod on Linux -- I was hoping to get
some feedback from people here who might have actually used one of the
projects and who could make some recommendations -- thereby saving me
$300 or so should I choose to buy an iPod and find that the projects
work poorly. That's why I phrased the question the way that I did.
