[CLUE-Tech] More on MP3 players - The Rio Karma

I'd just second the fact that the Rio Karma works well with Linux. I've
had it for about 5 months and couldn't be happier. I've played with a
friends iPod and I think the controls, especially playlist management,
are superior on the Karma.

A couple other things that might be of interest. Besides the ethernet
connection you mentioned, the docking station also has RCA style
line-out jacks for connecting to a receiver. I'm hoping the rumors of a
remote are more than rumors.

The Karma can also act like a portable drive. The Rio Taxi application
(which is also supported w/ the Java app) lets you store arbitrary files
on the device, with the only limitation being how much room you have left.

There are also several active communities surrounding the development of
the Java application and Karma accessories.
