I've been a Gentoo user since prior to version 1, and it meets my needs
perfectly, but I avoid blatant recommendations, since I have been
mightily flamed on another listing. 

One of these days, whenever Dave gives the word, I'll me making a Gentoo
presentation at CLUE.
