I have 2 new identical HP A600n Athlon XP 2800+ boxes both running
Suse 9.1 pro. Both boxes have Suse on /dev/hdf.
I get a lot of errors like below but not CRC errors.

linux kernel: hde: drive_cmd: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error }
linux kernel: hde: drive_cmd: error=0x04 { DriveStatusError }
linux kernel: hdf: drive_cmd: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error }
linux kernel: hdf: drive_cmd: error=0x04 { DriveStatusError }

These boxes also use a VIA chipset.
