But as I read David's question, he's concerned about installing the font
in OpenOffice, which is a separate issue from installing the font on
your system. One might well ask why the $#&*()%(* OpenOffice can't just
use your system fonts, but I guess that would be too simple.

Anyway, to install fonts in OpenOffice, you want:

  # ${OPEN_OFFICE_PATH}/${MAYBE_SOME_SUBDIR}/spadmin

Note that you can choose to copy the fonts to the OpenOffice directory
or to symlink them. If you already have the fonts installed for X, you
probably want to do the latter.
