[CLUE-Tech] Qwest DSL Pricing Change

If anyone has Qwest DSL at 640K, they just changed their pricing to
make their 1.5Mb/s service the same price. You can call them and
they'll put in an order to change it without charge.

Just thought I'd let both lists know. It appears that pressure from
cable modems pushed Qwest to offer higher speeds for the same price as
the 640K service.

They also lowered prices on slower services somewhat and they give a
discount if you have any of their ValueChoice plans on the phone line.

(I use Front Range Internet for my ISP, so my transport charge from
Qwest is $28/month. Then I pay FRII for ISP service.)

Getting something for nothing is a pretty good deal. Even for a
cheapskate like me! No mention of a contract or service extension --
there was a question that maybe it might require the Actiontec modem,
but I don't think so -- I am going ahead with the order without the
Actiontec and we'll see if the good ol' Cisco 678 is happy with it.

(If not -- see ya when I get an Actiontec! LOL!)

For those using MSN, there's a $3/month change in the service level for
the ISP service.
