[CLUE-Tech] Pam, Winbind, Kerberos and Samba

I have this set up at home where I log on to my linux box(Fedora Core 1
Kernel 2.6.2-1.74) using Kerberos and an Active Directory database on my
Domain Controller (Win2k). I got this going after a lot of trial and
error. I tried setting up Winbind so that I could authenticate using
LDAP. I managed to hose up the Pam /etc/pam.d/login file so that I
couldn't log in directly into the console. Luckily I had an SSH client
on my Windows computer and I was able to restore the original login file
and all is back to normal (no ldap or windbindd service). After that I
started looking at all the Pam documentation I could get my hands on to
help me understand it better. But I wasn't able to find much about how
Pam interacts with Winbind, Kerberos, and Samba. I was wondering if
anyone could recommend a book or point me to some good resources on the
web related to this. Is there anyone else interested in this kind of
thing?
