I run Debian/SPARC on a Sun Ultra 5 here at work. I was very pleased with how easy
it was to setup and how nice it has been running. I ran into an issue when I needed
a JDK. D'oH, Sun does not distribute a JDK for Linux/SPARC... As an alternative,
the Blackdown JDK has a Linux/SPARC build that works great. There has only been one
problem with Blackdown JRE crashing when trying to run a third party SSO policy
manager. As far as my daily use goes, (Apache Ant, Tomcat, etc) it works just fine.
