I should have been more clear, sorry. I didn't try manually changing the
route on the running system -- that's of no matter to me, although I
suppose it's a point of interest. I was concerned only with what changes
to make in order to have it boot up with the proper route.

I assume the "route -[add|replace|del] .." command is functional,
otherwise, I wouldn't have even the bogus route that I have, nor the
127... route for lo0.

I'm not aware of the procedure for making a route table using a text
editor, and then loading it. Again, with FC2, my question would be where
would I save such a text file.
