[CLUE-Tech] login problems

Mike,

Since it's happening both locally and remotely it's
probably not a problem with ssh although you can try
ssh -v [username] and see if there's a clue there.

Since root logs in ok, it's probably something in your
.bashrc or home directory.

Try:

1. As root, change your password, just to eliminate
expired passwords; unlikely since last shows you
successfully logged in but still.

2. Create a new user and see if you can log in as
them. Eliminates a problem with the /home file system
since root is either / or /root.

3. Rename your home directory and create a new one
that's empty and try to log in again.

Carl
