I haven't built it but I am running the xorg-x11-6.8.2-1.FC3.13 RPMs
from Fedora Core 3 updates and am not having any problems with switching
between text console and X.  I do it a few times every day.  Just for
reference, the chipset is an ATI Radeon M10 [FireGL Mobility T2].
