I want to apologize for my banter over the last week.

On a more technichal note, I have found several
auctions on eBay for DAC960LB cards. The fact seems to
be that the DAC960LB is the Mylex product number for
the battery backup so called shunt ... not the model
of the card itself. Trying to find firmware updates
for this model and looking at the kernel drivers or
kernel docs for info about this model will lead you on
a wild goose chase. So be careful if interested in
such a card :)

I have urls for explanations for anyone interested,
but a google search should take you to the same info.
