the problem with my odd addressing problem on grassroots.sierraclub.org was 
correctly identified and fixed. thanks to all that helped.

I inadvertently deleted the post identifying the cause (something I thought 
was commented wasn't commented). When I went to the clue-tech archives to 
remind myself of who specifically I should thank, I discovered that the Jan 
2005 archives are not available.  Someone may want to attend to that.
