A few weeks ago I used yum to download updated packages,
and then I installed/updated the ones I wanted. I did so
by entering:
$ yum check-update
$ yum --download-only update

Now, when I enter those commands, I get this:
Gathering header information file(s) from server(s)
Server: Fedora Core 2 - i386 - Base
Server: Fedora Core 2 - i386 - Released Updates
Finding updated packages
Downloading needed headers
Resolving dependencies
.Dependencies resolved
I will do the following:
[install: kernel 2.6.10-1.9_FC2.i686]
[update: pango 1.4.1-1.i386]
[update: cups 1:1.1.20-11.9.i386]
...[100 others]
[update: tetex-xdvi 2.0.2-14FC2.1.i386]
I will install/upgrade these to satisfy the dependencies:
[deps: libselinux-devel 1.11.4-1.i386]
Is this ok [y/N]: n

I don't want to install, I just want to download (for
now).  Relevant lines from yum.conf:
cachedir=/var/cache/yum
debuglevel=2
logfile=/var/log/yum.log
pkgpolicy=newest
distroverpkg=redhat-release
tolerant=1
exactarch=1
retries=20
