I'm pretty happy with my Dell 17" (I'm sure they don't really make it,
but whomever actually does make it made a nice one and I've always had
good luck with Dell).  There are always deals on these and
http://www.slickdeals.net/ keeps track of them fairly well.  For
example, a few days ago a widescreen 20" was going for $500 and a 19"

reputable dealer is worth it to me.
