I sometimes see questions like this posted on the Sun Managers list, and
I seem to remember there being at least one SUMMARY (basically, an
answer that worked for the poster[1]) posted within the last year or
two. Check http://www.sunmanagers.org/ -> List Archives -> 2000-Present
Summaries Archive.

You might also check out scripts & utilities uploaded by Sun admins -

[1] The Sun Managers list works like so: A sysadmin sends a query to the
list; people respond directly to the sysadmin who later posts a SUMMARY
of the answer(s) to the list. It used to be that just the summaries were
archived & searchable and not the queries, but disk space has gotten
cheap these days....
