Did you try:

cdda2wav dev=2,0 -vall cddb=0 -B -Owav
cdrecord dev=2,0 -v -dao -useinfo -text  *.wav

(from cdrecord(1))?

There's another example that includes -audio.  Last time I set up to 
copy audio CDs that's how I did it (with an extra step for cdparanoia 
because it could rip more accurately than cdda2wav).  But I'm not sure 
the info files are necessary anymore.

Still, might work.
