A few weeks ago I bought a Netgear WG511U (802.11a/b/g) cardbus card and
it works very nicely with the madwifi (Atheros chipset) driver. And if
you look around there are a number of companies who sell cards with
Atheros chipsets including:

who also sell cardbus-to-PCI and minipci-to-PCI adapters in case you'd
like to use it in a desktop.
