[clue-tech] Katrina's technology: Skype or Gizmo Project?

Hi all,

Thought this might be of interest to others. Most of you are aware of 
Skype (http://www.skype.com/), but some of you may not be aware of Gizmo 
Project (http://www.gizmoproject.com/) and how each of these can be used 
  in an emergency of Katrina's proportions. See here under "Tread of 
life" http://doc.weblogs.com/ for Thurdsay and you'll get the idea. Oh, 
just like Skype Gizmo Project has Window, Mac, and Linux apps. You can 
also read a review of Gizmo here 
http://blogs.zdnet.com/ip-telephony/?p=555. Gizmo was founded by 
Linspire founder Michael Robertson, so he's much more atuned to FOSS 
than Skype is.

I've signed up with Gizmo myself.
