Agreed. And not just the archives, but also the Mailman per-user 
settings. Because, for example, some users (like me) might have set 
things up so as to be able to post to the list from multiple addresses 
but only receive list mail at one address. It's only a minor nuisance to 
have to reset those options, but this is not the first time it's happened.
