[clue-tech] DD-WRT

Installed the DD-WRT firmware on my Linksys WRT-54GS v2.0 here this 
evening.

Quite impressive.  Pretty much seems to have worked right "out of the 
box" and not quite as much work to get going after flashing as something 
like OpenWRT.

The web interface is still "quite good", considering that I can also SSH 
into the thing now.

Nifty.  Kept meaning to try the alternative firmware toys for the 
Linksys, but hadn't gotten around to it.

I even used the "if you're brave" method and didn't bother TFTP'ing it 
to the thing... just uploaded from Linksys's original "Update your 
firmware" page.

It gave me a minor scare a few minutes later when it said it had 
"failed" but all that had really happened is that the internal address 
had changed and the desktop machine hadn't renewed DHCP yet.  Highly 
recommended to have everything set back to 192.168.1.x on the internal 
LAN before the flash process... (GRIN).

p.s. Look at all the toys... mmmmm... toys...

(Seeing some errors on the eth0 and eth1 ports too, hmmm... have to look 
into that...)
