[clue-tech] Son's PC and intro to programming

Perl and Python are easy enough to learn quickly,and continue to be
fun as you learn more.
However, for more 'programming' languages, I'd recommend java. It's
easier than C or C++ to get the hang of, and swing is an easy way to
make windows, create interactive programs, etc - which would be a big
charge when Junior gets sick of parsing files and doing arithmetic in
the various scripting languages.
