I said advanced. I really don't think I quite qualify as a Linux expert. 
Some things I know pretty well, such as configuring and compiling 
kernels. Others, like network configuration, I only vaguely understand.

That still doesn't quite make sense. Arch, Slackware, and Gentoo were 
all tagged as not having an "application library." But both Arch and 
Slackware have binary package repositories. E.g. I am writing this 
e-mail in Mozilla Thunderbird, which I installed with the command

   # pacman -Sy mozilla-thunderbird

Maybe the authors of the test just aren't well informed about all the 
distros.
