database project, and the developers were trying to avoid stepping on their
toes (after the fact).
I guess in some small way it's an interesting sign that F/OSS software
projects now are so numerous that it's hard to find a "neat" name that no one
else has taken! Far cry from a decade ago, where you could probably have a
good idea by just hearing a word whether or not it was a semi-popular F/OSS
project.
With even things like Debian Unstable up to over 14,000 packages... namespace
issues are bound to be interesting! ;-)
(But I love it... it's amazing how fast F/OSS software has gotten things
done.)
