[clue-tech] Suggestions for Dan's Guardian/Squid/Squidguard machine

I'd like to set up some filtering in the home via Dan's Guardian with the
possible addition of Squid/Squidguard and other things (if they make sense -
Dan's Guardian looks to be pretty powerful) . However, since this will be on
all the time, I don't want some behemoth that's sucking up more power and
making more white noise than necessary. 

Anyone have suggestions for hardware for this?
