[clue-tech] iwl-wifi, welcome to Free Software.

So with 2.6.24 I get to use the iwl-wifi driver rather than whatever I
had 2 weeks ago.

That's good because it's part of the kernel. The old module was a
different package that didn't always update at the same time as the
kernel (in Debian unstable). I only lost wifi by upgrading once but I
mentioned the situation as a risk of using unstable recently [1].

iwl-wifi seems to work fine, including the RF kill switch. But the wifi
LED is always off (a known problem). [2]

So life is good, but it's not all good. Yet. Welcome to Free Software.

Oh, wait. The patch is in, just have to wait for it to get here.

Thanks for listening.
