I've played with it and "easier" is relative.  I don't find it easier or
harder, just different.  And that isn't sufficient to replace something
that wasn't horribly broken (unless someone finally explains what the
limitations of SysVInit were that couldn't be fixed).

Poor design on the app developers part then.  Use the right tool for the
job.
