Thanks for the suggestions all, I still haven't quite decided upon a 
hosting service, but I'm adding this for the benefit of anyone else who 
might be looking for registration/hosting services:

The above link lists a bunch of coupon codes that are good for 
discounted pricing - primarily for hosting, but there are also some 
codes that are good for name registration as well.
