Yes, Tomato is a great piece of firmware for routers. I have used it
successfully for about two years.
It supports WPA wireless security.

I like the Linksys WRT even though it is only b/g capable.. I flash
it with Tomato. It's easier to set up than OpenWRT or DDWRT.
If someone knows an N class wireless router that can be flashed, I
would like to know what it is.

Subject: [clue-tech] Wireless router recommendations
I'm getting a new System76 netbook real soon now, so I would like to
get a reasonably secure wireless router. Any recommendations?
I have a totally unsecured wireless router, but for obvious reasons I
don't like to use it.
My setup is
*----------------------*           *----------------------------------*
| Comcast modem |    -->   | Netgear 4-port wired router |  --> (2 PCs
& printer)
*----------------------*           *----------------------------------*
                      *--------------------*
               --->  | wireless router |
                       |   (new)           |
                       *------------------*
