[clue-tech] KDE file browser issues

I'm having trouble setting the default view to detailed list.  Every time I go to another directory, Konqueror goes to icon view.  I've tried manually setting the view to detailed and the using Settings>Save view and that doesn't work.

Also, any ideas on how to change the desktop background for each virtual desktop?

I'm running KDE 4.2.2 (from jaunty).
