The USB stick idea sounds good. Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it to
95%+ installfest because I have to work almost every Saturday. One program
that makes a bootable USB stick of your favorite distro CD/DVD is
unetbootin. Just use the default and not the advanced options and choose the
letter of your USB drive (if running it in windows) so you don't
accidentally overwrite your hard drive instead. See:
