The howtos at samba.org are very good.  But a DC is rather complicated so you actually have to read 
them and understand the terms.

I thought I'd seen doing an AD DC there but that seems wrong.  I would say that NT is too old to be 
useful anymore, so getting a Windows DC is probably the thing to do.
