<div>...is fedora-core-6-compatible without fiddling with the kernel? It would be helpful if the same vendor offered a router for the PC which can act as access point (a Windows XP with an ADSL connection).</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Short history: Fedora Core 6.0 successfully put into Compaq (860 MHz, 500MB RAM) at 11 November Installfest, but driver for Belkin PCI wireless incompatible. To make matters dicey, the Belkin router could not be configured to give ADSL speed (it would even freeze during downloads at 56Kb speed) on the Windows XP box access point. ( the XP box works fine without the router, but neither box works with.) We are therefore returning all Belkin items, hoping to choose more wisely, with your help, in the days ahead.

<div>I'll make it to the 5 December meeting for sure this month; last month's conflicted schedule was my oversight.</div>
