Good questions.<br>

1. The only place the dish could conceivably go outside is on a very
small balcony. It would probably have to be disguised as a patio chair
or natural gas barbecue.<br>

2. That is a good idea. I will try to ask around.<br>
<br>
3. We have electrical contractors who could install additional wiring
for a fee. But generally it would be best to install no new wiring.<br>
<br>
4. 20% would be about 115 units.<br>
<br>
5. Almost everyone has high speed internet. 10Mbps downlink is easy
and cheap to get on the cable TV network. I'm not sure about the phone
network but I'm guessing 6Mbps is the top for that. I would think
either of those would support some sort of streaming application.<br>

This isn't necessarily a Linux specific question but it is technical in

with aesthetics bylaws prohibiting satellite dishes anywhere on the

What are some ways we could allow residents to access satellite TV
signals of their choosing, while using their own descrambler or
subscription device? To me this seems to mean we would need to
distribute a variety of RF signals (depending on the satellite)
somehow. Is there some other way to do it? I think we could not
descramble all of the signals and put them on slingbox-type devices for
everyone to use for free, because that probably violates the terms of
use of any of the satellite TV service.<br>

We could maybe charge an "installation fee" and have the facility
electricians install some sort of wiring or cabling, but this can get
complicated and the distance might be REALLY far (like almost 1Km),
which is probably too long for RG-58 cabling with satellite TV signal
levels.<br>

However maybe there are some clever things we could do with MythTV or
something?<br>
