Curtis Preston's "Backup Central Live! Denver" seminar next week, on 
Thursday, August 25th (8:45am start), at the Embassy Suites Denver 
Downtown/Convention Center.

Curtis Preston is the author of several O'Reilly books on backup and 
storage, including:

   Backup & Recovery: Inexpensive Backup
     Solutions for Open Systems (2007)

   Unix Backup and Recovery (1999)

   Using SANs and NAS (2002)

He's also the host/creator/moderator of Backup Central 
(www.backupcentral.com), which is pretty much a one-stop-shop for "all 
things backup..."

As I understand the seminar's schedule, the "main topics" will be 
covered in the morning session, and the afternoon's reserved for 
"optional advanced content" -- so if you can't stay for the whole day, 
the morning will cover the main event.

Although I don't admin systems for a living anymore, I've done so for 
most of my professional career, and backup/restore was certainly a 
central concern and skill set for everything we did.  I plan to learn a 
bunch of new stuff at this seminar -- and did I mention that *it's 
free*?!!!  See you there...
