[clue] lenovo deal - linux compat?

I've got a Lenovo thinkpad SL410. It was new though, not a refurb.

It's a solid laptop, if a touch heavy. But it's ugly, the touchpad is
sensitive and can't be turned off via a hardware switch and the sound
buttons on the left side completely stopped working when I removed all
the crapware from Windows 7, even under Linux. and it's got a stupid
nipple mouse that is so annoying I had to remove the pink rubber tip so
I don't bump it while I'm typing. The wireless card just stops working
every couple of weeks, if I suspend very often (which I do). A reboot
fixes that.

I'm not a fan of Lenovo. But they suck less than HP Pavillion.
