[clue] impressions on mint12?

I have seen a little quirkyness lately.  The nvidia driver hasn't been
getting along with X - I've been getting application hangs and the like.
Honestly, I don't know enough about the situation to blame the OS though, I
just took it for granted that it was application issues.
