My name is Brian Hagman and I am a search consultant for Sanford Rose
Associates - Brighton.



Our client is looking for a hands-on *Unix/Linux system
administrator*located in
*Longmont, CO*.  This person will be responsible for day-to-day
administration of UNIX/Linux servers (RedHat or CentOS preferred), and
Windows (XP, Vista and 7) and Mac OS X client systems, including
troubleshooting and resolving problems as they arise, and developing plans
and processes designed to improve long-term capabilities and stability of
the system.  This person will need experience in most or all of the
following:



   - Networking technologies such as switches, routers, taps, and bridges;
   network design, vlans, IP routing and subnetting
   - VMware server and desktop virtualization products
   - Applications such as Apache, MySQL, and Microsoft Office
   - Shell (bash, sh, tcsh, zsh), PERL, Ruby, or Python scripting
   - PHP or C/C++ coding
   - Software tools such as ssh, svn, openvpn, tcpdump or Wireshark, nmap,
   gpg, rpm, yum, grep, sed, awk, pf, iptables, Snort, Sguil, hping
   - Web and network security best practices & implementation
   - Over the phone or remote desktop helpdesk support for both employees
   and customers
