[clue] NTFS logical structure corruption?

Interesting. I see Will's reply to ed's reply to my reply, but I don't see ed's reply to my reply. 

Anyway... ed: If you're not comfortable running dd, please don't. It's very easy to break really-important-stuph with dd. The other tools I mentioned are pretty safe, except in the case of severe file-system damage, which is very rare.
