Position Responsibilities

Contribute to organizational efforts to:

Maintain and upgrade a data virtualization stack centered around
Denodo that includes these technologies:

NoSQL
TC Server
Caching
Search
Deployment
Monitoring
Logging

Equip multiple development teams with best practices and support tools
for data virtualization development.
Equip the Operations and Change Management teams to support multiple
data virtualization environments, including:

Configuring for availability, fail-over, disaster recovery,
performance and flexibility to meet the needs of Denver and New York
data virtualization processes.
Instituting appropriate controls around accessibility.
Monitoring critical components.

Develop and support data virtualization processes for enterprise data
components.
Create and maintain wiki content.
Provide 24x7 support on a rotating basis (team of five) for second-tier support.

Position Requirements

Ability to work independently to produce results and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Skilled with Unix/Linux and scripting languages such as Python, Ruby or Perl.
Skilled with SQL and a relational database such as Oracle, SQLserver
or Postgresql.
Familiar with scheduling tools such as AutoSys or Schedule-M.
Familiar with a source code control system such as Subversion,
Mercurial or Team Foundation Server.
Strong writing skills or a willingness to improve.
Embraces positive change.
Ability to gain the cooperation and support of others via influencing
skills and the ability to identify and leverage resources.
Collaborative/team player; comfortable taking constructive input from
multiple sources.
Bachelor Degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
