Seems like I could do what you want with ikiwiki, which I would host at http://www.branchable.com/ 
($10/mo or $60/yr).  That would give me a blog and wiki.  It's minimalist, based around git, and run 
by Joey Hess (the ikiwiki and branchable creator and a prolific Debian developer).  Oh, and it's 
*not* PHP.

But if you want to play with other apps go with one of the other suggestions.
