Development ... guess it depends upon your perspective.  I'm not sure you call automating install & config with Bash scripts development.  But I've doing more scripting now than I've ever done in 17+ years in IT.  

deploy JDK
deploy vFabric tc server 
config, start, & set init script for tc server instance
deploy .crt & .key files, apache.conf, ssl.conf
other miscellaneous scripts to automate & standardize

Add to this manual installs of Artifactory & Bamboo CI support servers, plus populating Artifactory with packages, .conf files, & the scripts I've written.  

For sure its been a challenging yet enjoyable learning experience that has exposed me to a new facet of IT.  A busy summer working for http://cloud-elements.com/

In my current gig, I'm the lone Sys Admin on a DevOps project that is using Agile project management & has morning "scrums". The project manager wants me to demo something I've done at the end of every two week sprint.  Maybe I should send him yesterday's UF cartoon.
