Yes, Bernardo gave a nice talk on how he, a newbie, built his own media server.  That's an ambitious project for a newbie. And he used Arch Linux to do i, which I would rarely recommend to a newbie.  I'd be interested to see what he does in the future.

Did the meeting happen?  Anyone go?  I was in Chicago and although we got snow it wasn't a big deal 
to anyone there.

 

I guess I have to start confirming upcoming talks.  The good news is there are a few that have 
popped up so we should have speakers for a bit yet.
