[clue] File Permissions with Linux Mint 17 and LibreOffice 1.4.2.7

Do they need to be able to modify your documents? 

If not, consider exporting PDF. They will get a high-fidelity, but read-only "printed" version of your doc. That's what I do, most of the time. 

If they need to edit your documents, consider using a more primitive format. Rather than .docx or .xlsx, use .doc, .rtf, .html, .txt, .tdv and so on. Maximize the ratio of information to decoration. 

Consider having another person, someone that can send documents everyone can use, originate all the documents, so that you're editing their format, rather than them editing yours.
