[clue] cmdb's? (seeking advice)

So, at a previous gig, we were mandated to have a cmdb system and we tried
to implement it with a wiki, and it worked pretty well. However, what I
ended up doing for the systems I ran was use tripwire to log changes and
use that as my "cmdb". When required, I copy-pasta'd entries from the
tripwire log into the wiki.

In the end, everyone was happy, and I didn't have to deal with tracking
stuff manually. Sounds like this might be a good fit for you.
