Denhac (One of the local hackerspaces) uses GnuCash. From what I hear it takes a little to get used to, but once you do, It has most of the features of Quickbooks.
It by itself doesn’t require internet, but some of the features and add-ons require internet or network access.
If you would like to speak to our treasure about using the software, contact me and I’ll put you in contact with him.

Subject: [clue] Personal finance software?
Hi all,
I'd like to find out if anyone has any insight to offer with regard to using personal finance software within Linux. I've looked at a few articles/reviews (i.e. http://www.linuxlinks.com/article/20080927164237918/Financial.html) but many of the articles are out-of-date or simply don't contain enough information to make an informed decision. In addition, I feel that there's a certain amount of value in getting personal feedback, & this thread may even prove helpful for someone else.
The only requirement that I have is that the package be capable of running completely without network/internet access (and yes, I know that retrieving stock prices & interacting with financial institutions can save effort/provide some value, but that isn't a priority for me).
Thanks in advance,
T.
