Linux Systems Administrator 
Position Summary: 
The Linux System Administrator is responsible for helping maintain all aspects of systems lifecycle management: installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux servers including web servers, mail servers, application servers, and database servers. The Linux Systems Administrator works closely with engineering and product development to help design and implement development, staging, and QA environments for new products and services, utilizing systems automation software. 

Responsibilities: 

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 
 Automate software installations and upgrades to Linux systems and maintain them in accordance with established policies, procedures, and service level agreements 
 Implement enhanced monitoring and tuning of Linux systems to achieve optimum level of uptime and performance 
 Extend and enhance existing operational tools to improve processes and systems where appropriate. 
 Troubleshoot operational issues 
. 
Qualifications: 
 5 + years of Linux Systems Administration with an Enterprise Linux variant such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Linux, or CentOS 
 Ability to use scripting to automate administration tasks 
 Working knowledge of configuration management systems such as Puppet 
 Ability to troubleshoot and fix software build errors 
 Experience with virtualization technologies (VMWare/KVM/Xen) 
 Familiarity with the Amazon Elastic Cloud 

Desired: 
 Excellent communication skills both written and verbal (technical and non-technical) 
 3 - 5 years Information Security experience 
 Demonstrated leadership skills 
 Demonstrated strong knowledge of internal controls and experience working as a member of a core team 
 Detail oriented and self motivated individual 
 GSEC, CISSP and/or other security certifications
