[clue] Mouse lock - Centos 6

List -

Running Centos 6 with either KDE/Gnome GUI interfaces, my server using a
USB mouse
consistently locks up after short (couple of minutes) or longer (10+
minutes) use.

Question(s) -
   Has anyone had this trouble and/or solved it before?
   Are there log files to look at or known fixes to the problem?

This has been going on for a long time (very frustrating)
Would pay for some troubleshooting time if that's the right way to go.
