Hi Chris, thank you for your response. I attempted to send it to you off-list (twice) , but both attempts returned the following error:

This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.

Reason: Permanent Error

Please contact me directly & let me know if perhaps there's another address I should be using.

Thank you again,

Subject: Re: [clue] Anyone need help?

Send me your resume...I have a req or two for very similar skill sets.

Hi All,

I'm writing to request any pointers the group might have to open sysadmin-type positions that members might be aware of. A quick overview of my skillset/experience could be summed up as follows:

I started in a telephone tech-support position in the mid-90s, all of my positions from then until about 2014 involved me supporting various flavors of Windows, from global/enterprise environments to 3-person "mom & pop" businesses (via a consulting stint);

I've also been working with Linux & commercial flavors of UNIX (mostly Solaris & AIX) off & on since the late '90's, the last three years or so I've worked exclusively as a Linux/Solaris SA. I would classify my skills as probably mid-range rather than senior, although I've touched a lot of different things.

I also have experience since 2009 with VMware's ESX/ESXi platforms, & have centered my home lab around a number of VMs (RHEL, CentOS & Kali) on that platform;

Although I've never worked as a developer, I've professionally "dabbled in" Perl, Javascript & web development, and I'm fairly comfortable with bash shell scripting & regular expressions. In order to realign my skillset with the new DevOps paradigm, I've recently worked my way through most of Codecademy's Beginning Python course - although I've transitioned away from that to 'Learn Python 3 the Hard Way' since the Codecademy course seemed to not cover much besides functions.

Early this summer I added the Security+ certification to my resume, in years past I've earned certs from Novell (ha!), Microsoft & VMware - currently working toward RHCSA, then RHCE certs. (Kind of eyeing the OSCP after that if I'm feeling ambitious...)

Finally, I've "dipped my toe" into the AWS & Ansible waters (via books that I've purchased) , I'm getting somewhat comfortable with the former, but haven't spent much time yet with the latter.

Location?? Downtown would be ideal, I'm less-enamored with DTC/Greenwood Village/Englewood since I'm on the north end of the metro area, but I won't rule anything out.

If you know of anything that I might be a reasonable match for, please contact me off-list.

Thanks in advance, I appreciate any help/pointers that anyone might provide.

T.
